# How to transcribe a YouTube video without captions

YouTube captions can be absent or unusable. Verbafy still transcribes a public video from the audio.

## Steps

1. Confirm the video is public.
2. Paste the YouTube URL in [the app](/app).
3. Wait for the enhanced Transcript. Do not expect Verbafy to import missing captions.
4. Check names and quotes against playback.

This is not a caption downloader. It creates a new speaker-labeled Transcript.
