# Pricing

Verbafy charges for transcribed minutes, not seats. Start on Free with 60 transcribed minutes each week. Upgrade to Starter or Pro when you need more minutes or unlimited AI chat.

Currency is USD. Paid plans bill through Stripe Checkout. Monthly Starter and Pro include a 3-day Paid-plan Trial with a card on file unless the account already used a trial.

Starter monthly is 40% cheaper per transcribed hour than Starter weekly. Pro monthly is 40% cheaper per transcribed hour than Pro weekly. Pro is 33% lower cost per transcribed minute than Starter on the same billing interval.

The free minutes are a weekly allotment, not a one-time trial that expires after signup. Guests can use Free. Signing in claims Guest transcripts onto a Registered User.

## How does the Paid-plan Trial work?

Monthly Starter and Pro include a 3-day Paid-plan Trial with a card on file.

- Starter trial: 100 transcribed minutes
- Pro trial: 300 transcribed minutes

Day 3 charges the monthly price unless you cancel at trial end. Weekly billing has no trial and charges immediately.

## What export formats are included?

Every plan can download TXT, Markdown, JSON, SRT, VTT, and a ZIP bundle. AI-inferred speaker names when identifiable, clickable timestamps, and optional Auto translate are included.

## How an agent should buy or change a plan

1. Read this document or `GET https://verbafy.io/pricing.md`.
2. Authenticate as a Registered User. Guests cannot buy a paid plan through MCP.
3. Call `get_usage` on Remote MCP (`https://verbafy.io/api/v1/mcp`) or `GET /api/v1/me/billing`.
4. For a first paid subscription, call `create_checkout` with `plan` (`starter` or `pro`) and `interval` (`weekly` or `monthly`). Open the returned Stripe URL in a browser. A person must complete Checkout.
5. For cards, cancel, or plan changes, call `create_billing_portal` and open the Stripe Customer Portal URL in a browser.
6. To end a Paid-plan Trial on the same plan, call `convert_trial`. Do not call `convert_trial` for a Free plan at the usage cap; use `create_checkout`.
