# About Verbafy

Verbafy converts spoken media into speaker-labeled, timestamped transcripts. Paste a public YouTube URL, paste a Spotify episode link, or upload a private audio or video file. The product returns named speakers, clean paragraphs, clickable timestamps, optional translation, and export-ready files.

People use it for notes, review, and research. Research is one use case, not a requirement. Verbafy is not a live meeting bot. It does not join calls, record meetings, or connect to conferencing products. Meeting recordings belong only when a person uploads a file after the meeting.

Guests can try the product before they register. One free weekly allotment covers 60 transcribed minutes. Signing in claims Guest Transcripts and Chats onto a Registered User. Paid Starter and Pro plans raise the monthly minute allotment. Current limits are on the [pricing](/pricing) page.

The public site is `https://verbafy.io`. The application API is same-origin `/api/v1`. Machine-readable docs live at [API docs](/docs), [OpenAPI](/openapi.json), and [llms.txt](/llms.txt).
